August 2020: A Vintage Beginning
Their story began in August 2020 when, like the careful handpicking of grapes, they met on Hinge and instantly connected. Lauren, the elegant chardonnay, and Steve, the bold pinot noir, came together, setting the stage for a vintage love affair.
September - October 2020: The Spark of Fermentation
Their romance was akin to the initial fermentation process, bubbling and evolving. While the grapes transformed into wine, Lauren and Steve's relationship took shape, becoming official on a memorable October night, forever intertwining their hearts.
October 2020- March 2021: A Blend of Hearts
As the months passed, their love story mirrored the blending of wines. Lockdown brought them closer, weekends filled with laughter and deepening connections. Meeting each other's families in their New Jersey homes was an exciting part of this chapter, blending traditions and creating lasting memories.
March 2021: Aging Gracefully
Just as champagne requires aging, Lauren and Steve embarked on a journey of exploration. Their travels to New Hampshire, Puerto Rico, Turks and Caicos, Tampa, St. John, West Palm, and the Outer Banks mirrored the aging process of their relationship. Their shared love for adventure and discovering new places deepened their bond.
June 2022: Taking the Next Step
In June 2022, like the disgorgement process that refines champagne, Lauren and Steve decided to take their relationship to the next level. They moved in together into a charming two-bedroom apartment in uptown Hoboken, starting the beautiful process of building a life together. They continued traveling and visited Spain and India in the same year!
June 2023: A Proposal, a Promise
On a warm June evening in 2023, with the Hoboken Waterfront as their backdrop, Steve proposed to Lauren in an intimate and unforgettable moment, just like the cork popping on a bottle of champagne. It was a celebration of their love and a promise of a future filled with joy.
September 2023: Savoring the Moments
After a whirlwind of celebrations and even a trip to the Champagne region in France, Lauren and Steve now cherish the moments and let their love rest and mature, much like fine champagne. They take this time to relax and prepare for the big day in June 2025 when they will toast to their love, just as they did in 2020, making it a vintage year in their extraordinary relationship.
